Day 1: 29th December Marrakesh – Ait Ben Hadou

New Year Eve Tour In Morocco. our team will pick you up from your Riad/Hotel or Airport and leave Marrakech to begin our journey. Our destination will be Ait Ben Hadou. We pass through Tizi-n-Tishka in the high Atlas Mountains where we pause to appreciate the mountain views. We have a stop at Telouet Kasbah which is a former road of caravans from the Sharah over the atlas mountains to Marrakesh. Then continue to the Ait Ben Haddou village which is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimony. It is famous as a backdrop for many films, including ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Alexander’.

Day 2: 30th December Ait Ben Haddou – Dades – Todgha Gorges

Second day of our New Year Eve Tour In Morocco. After your breakfast in your Hotel/Riad, we will continue our trip enjoying the natural beauty, landscapes, and historical monuments, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Studio in Ouarzazate. We also pass through the little Berber villages of Skoura, ‘El Kelaa des M’Gouna’ (which is known for Roses Valley, the village that hosts the Festival of Roses every year), and ‘Boumalene Dades’. Then continue to Tinghir and more specifically to Todgha Gorges which are 300 meters high. We will enjoy the beautiful landscape and the walk next to the river. Todgha gorges is our final stop for the day. Overnight in a hotel which includes dinner and breakfast.

Day 3: 31st December Todgha Gorges – Rissani – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes)

From Todgha, we head to Merzouga in one of the largest wind-blown dunes in Morrocco, Erg Chebbi. We will pass through many Berber villages; including Tinjdad where we can stop for lunch or if you preferrable continue to Rissani where you could have the local specialty, Berber Pizza for lunch if we get there by Midday. After lunch, we make our way to Merzouga where we will leave our luggage in rooms. The camels take us to a Berber camp in the middle of the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. 20 km long and 5 to 8 km wide it is also reputed as the highest sand dunes in North Africa. It is a unique and diverse environment. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from the hotel to the camp where we continue the spirit of the nomadic Berber lifestyle. There you will experience the overnight in the Berber tents that are well equipped you will find a mattress, blankets, and cushions. Also a private toilet and shower. The camp has a restaurant and kitchen as well. After dinner, we gather around the fire and enjoy the desert night perhaps with traditional Berber drums.

Day 4: 1 January Drive back to Marrakech.

An early wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the highest dunes of Erg Chebbi desert, afterward, you will have breakfast in the camp, pack, and go back either on camels or by 4×4 leaving the dunes behind. Back on the asphalt roads, you will drive to Marrakech through Alnif, Tazarine, Draa valley, Agdez, and Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate, we will have free time for lunch and a photo stop in front of the famous Taourirt Kasbah. Afterward, we will continue to Marrakech, where your Merzouga desert experience ends. Crossing again the Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages between Ouarzazate and Marrakech. Drop off at your accommodation. 3 days desert tour from Marrakech.
